We are off to a great start and wanted to share all of the ways Glenda’s Gift has touched lives this year so far.
Here is a brief summary:

Cure International: funds helped support necessary surgeries for children around the world who would otherwise not receive medical care.

Toni Vasquez: funds assisted an individual with a serious medical condition to help pay for medical expenses.

Djembeso Drum & Dance Education Center: family friend and musician, Adama Dembele, has been raising money to help his community rebuild the Dembele home (among others) and Djembeso music center in Abodo, Ivory Coast after the Ivory Coast government demolished the properties. Love Not Lost: funds were provided to help this non-profit which photographs people facing a terminal diagnosis to capture their memory and preserve their shared love.

Kayah Gaydish Memorial Fund: funds were donated to support a fund for Kayah’s two children, River and Caleb, who lost their mother in December 2015. Kayah was a single mother and the teenagers have been adopted by close family friends. For more information or to donate click here.
- River and Caleb Gaydish: gift cards were given to the family who adopted River and Caleb to help with the family’s expanding grocery budget.

University at Buffalo Dietetic Intern Fund: through Glenda’s Gift and annual donation is made to provide financial assistance for 2 graduate students each year in the Dietetic Intern Program–this year’s recipients are Rachael Grimm and Alaina Hoschke.
